The Jeep Avenger 4xe - The North Face Edition

Despite its mouthful of a name, the Avenger’s Mont Blanc - inspired design and the limited run of just 4,806 units, one for every metre of the mountain’s height which make this edition undeniably special. Jeep’s exclusive collaboration with The North Face, forged over two years, captures both brands’ adventurous souls, crafting a model they promise is “truly unique and innovative, elevating the concept of exploration.”

For those keen to put its rugged charm to real-world tests, the Avenger 4xe The North Face Edition arrives with a kit that’s as ready for the outdoors as you are. The package includes a tent, a duffel bag, and a water bottle, all adorned in The North Face’s iconic Summit Gold, an accent colour echoed stylishly across the vehicle.

Designed for Adventure

Summit Gold details instantly catch the eye against the Avenger’s sleek, yet rugged exterior. Jeep didn’t hold back on showcasing The North Face influence; a large bonnet sticker boldly announces the vehicle’s expeditionary intent. Black alloy wheels with gold detailing, unique Avenger badges with Mont Blanc’s contours, and other understated touches complete this rugged look.

Inside, The North Face’s touch is front and centre. The seats, built for durability and easy cleaning after a muddy day out, draw their style from the brand’s famous puffer jackets. Summit Gold trim lines the seats front and back, and Jeep has integrated elastic straps, reminiscent of The North Face’s rucksacks onto the seat backs for extra storage.

Even the floor mats nod to Mont Blanc, with 3D topographic maps of the mountain adding a “terrain underfoot” feel. A Mont Blanc silhouette on the dashboard, alongside the “One of 4806” inscription, reinforces this special edition’s rarity.

Built to Perform

Under the bonnet, you’ll find a 1.2-litre turbo engine paired with dual electric motors to deliver 136 horsepower and 25 Nm more torque than its standard FWD hybrid sibling. The result? A quicker 0-62 mph dash in 9.5 seconds, and a top speed of 120 mph.  Adding a second motor to the rear axle for true all-wheel drive, the 4xe’s performance is more than adequate for the daily drive, with enough off-road muscle to satisfy weekend adventurers.

The Avenger 4xe packs a few off-road tricks. With 210mm ground clearance and a 400mm wading depth, it’s ready to handle mud, rocks, and the odd stream. Approach and departure angles are 22 and 35 degrees, respectively, making it a go-anywhere, do-anything SUV - within reason, of course.

As a mild hybrid, it can operate in full electric mode at low speeds, perfect for quiet manoeuvres, and the hybrid system kicks in to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions when needed. The battery recharges as you drive, capturing energy from braking and any extra engine power, keeping it topped up.  With a smart 48V hybrid system and a 6-speed automatic transmission, it can cruise at low speeds in full-electric mode, perfect for delicate climbs and quiet nature escapes.

True to form, Jeep has equipped the Avenger 4xe with the versatile Selec-Terrain system, offering modes that adapt to whatever the day throws your way. Whether you’re ploughing through snow, easing along muddy green-lanes, or just in the mood for a more spirited drive, the 4xe is ready. Choose from Auto for balanced performance, Snow for wintery treks, Sand & Mud for grittier paths, and Sport to give that extra punch of rear-wheel torque when you want to leave others in the dust.

Everyday Practicality with a Rugged Twist

While designed with the great outdoors in mind, it’s likely that most Avenger 4xe The North Face Editions will spend a good amount of time on the daily school run or weekly shop. The washable seats, a blessing when dealing with spills or muddy paws, and the heated windscreen, making frosty mornings easier, will prove practical in any environment.

Add in keyless entry, a hands-free power tailgate, and Jeep’s multilink rear suspension, that’s usually found on larger models, and you’ve got an Avenger that handles urban terrain and off-road trails with equal ease.

The Jeep Avenger 4xe The North Face Edition is available to order now, with the first cars expected to arrive with customers in April 2025, priced at £34,999
