Wolf C200 Waterproof Speaker

There are times whilst I’m out camping when I enjoy the serenity of the outdoors, with only the gentle sounds of rain on canvas, creatures scurrying past or the rhythmic babbling of a nearby brook to break the silence. Then there are times when I feel like chilling out to the sounds of Dire Straits, or being inspired by a podcast, and in order to enjoy these I take the Wolf Outdoors C200 Bluetooth Speaker with me.

Here at Muddy HQ we have reviewed quite a few of Wolf Outdoor’s products, and I’m more than impressed by their build quality, and more importantly, value for money, and this has not let the side down.

Designed for the outdoor life, the C200 has a water resistant, moulded pebble-shaped design that is carefully engineered to resist water, and thanks to its double-coated diaphragm, it also delivers a rather decent sound. When we’ve tried out some bluetooth speakers in the past we’ve found that they sound great for podcasts, but a bit tinny for music, or vice versa, but this made both sound great, even at higher volumes.

Weighing in at just 185g, and measuring 4” diameter and 1.5” deep, the C200 doesn’t take up much room.

There is a USB C port for charging covered by a substantial rubber bung to keep water out, and it comes supplied with the necessary USB C to USB cable.

It has a short cord that is very useful for carrying it about, or hanging the speaker from branches. There are two buttons (+/-) on the top that control volume and song selection, and middle button that allows you to play, pause or answer a call, and it also has SIRI functionality.

So far I couldn’t be happier with the C200. I have used it outside whilst camping, cleaning the car and chopping firewood, and it has also made its way into my work bag, so I can use it in the office at school. It’s even accompanied me during hotel stays on car launches, and now Muddy Madam has got her own so she can listen to her tunes in the shower!
