Jerry Bottle
Now it could be argued that the Jerry Bottle is ‘just’ a water bottle, and on paper you’d be correct. Mine is the 550ml matt brushed steel version with the sustainably harvested bamboo and metal lid. It’s single walled (so not for hot liquids) food grade 304 (18/8) stainless steel with a food grade silicon seal in the lid and an electropolished Interior that doesn’t retain flavours or impart flavours. Basically, you fill it with water, or juice, add ice if required, and drink from it, just like any other water bottle.
However, and this is the important bit, what sets the Jerry Bottle apart from all it’s competitors, is that Jerry Bottle is a social enterprise trading for the Waterfall Charity who give 100% of their profits from Jerry to fund water projects around the world, not to owners or shareholders.
Wth 700 million people who don’t have access to safe drinking water and 2.4 billion people don’t have access to sanitation, they want to make a difference. In fact, if you look at the bottom of your steel Jerry you will see the coordinates of the water project that you’ve funded, so you can trace exactly which village you’re funding.
So in reality, the Jerry Bottle isn’t just another water bottle, it’s a way of helping the worlds hardest hit when it comes to one of the worlds most precious resources, clean water.
