Seeland Marsh Jacket & Trousers
Since these arrived at Turner Towers I’ve hardly had them off! Seeland’s Marsh jacket and trouser combo make hard work a breeze, and cosset you at the same time. Seeland has focussed on creating a package that will resist heavy usage, with strong Kevlar-like reinforcements on exposed areas and several spacious pockets, and due to being Seetex™ lined, the Marsh combo are windproof, waterproof and breathable.
Jacket
The jacket has spacious pockets inside and out with cartridge holders and drain holes, as well as a 2 way YKK zipper, game pocket, hand warmer pockets with fleece lining and a fluorescent safety waistcoat that’s included. Mustn’t forget the adjustable and detachable zipped hood either, it works a treat!

Trousers
The trousers, like the jacket are very comfortable and warm with a certain amount of stretch. They have belt hoops and attachments for braces, you also get a metal game carrier. What has proved really useful whilst lying on the ground, either attaching recovery gear or taking photos, are the snow lock and boot flaps that prevents water running into my wellies. Well thought out indeed!

A good friend of mine tells me that the Marsh Jacket and Trousers combo is the re-imagining of Seeland's very popular Beater Suit, now with plenty of improvements and designed to cope with heavy use.
I can honestly say that wearing both trousers and jacket during freezing December nights has been an absolute joy; they’ve kept me dry and warm, even whilst I’ve been lying down in freezing mud and snow. My only problem is that I’ve put a bit of weight on since getting them, and strangely I don’t seem to fit in the trousers anymore!
Sadly, it appears that the Marsh range has been discontinued from the Seeland range, but I suspect they’ve been replace with something even better, check out their website below for more details…
