Every week, near enough, we’re sent products to review, some are put straight to use whilst others we just stare at and ponder their relevance. Initially, when I opened the box from Wham I have to admit the latter did cross my mind, but we are always up for checking out British made products.

Only a few moments after casting her eyes on them, Muddy Madam had some ideas and put them straight to use, and within no time at all they'd both become indispensable at Muddy Towers.

Made from a durable, flexible and hard wearing plastic, the tubs have integrated handles that make them easy to lift and carry, and with their tapered shape they are easy to stack and store. We were sent the 8 litre and 25 litre versions to test, but they're also available in 2 other sizes: 15ltr and 40ltr.

So what are they good for?

The smaller 8 litre version is great for carrying smaller bits and pieces. We've made use of it over the last few weeks for all our lovely Muc-Off cleaning stuff, for carting around gardening tools, for drinks, blanket and sun cream in the Doon buggy and for fetching small pieces of wood for the Oz Pig stove.

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm pretty sure this 8 litre version would be perfect as an ice bucket for keeping a couple of pop (or champagne) bottles cool on those rare hot summer days.

The larger 25 litre tub's main use at Muddy Towers has been for taking the wet clothes out of the washing machine, as it's the perfect size for a full load.

Our second favourite use is as a car washing bucket as the handles make it easy to carry even with wet soapy hands, and as a bonus they both have handy fill measurement lines on the inside, if you need to be precise.

Its also been damn useful on buggy trips as it holds a lot of stuff - coats, hats, food and Muddy Madam's handbag, and because it's flexible it was easy to pop it under the back seat straps without having to undo them each time.

They’re one of those rare products that are inexpensive, but will probably last forever. You'll find so many uses for these tubs that you'll wonder how you ever lived without them.
