Berghaus Carryall Mule 50
I have a lot of bags here at Muddy Towers, the majority being the heavy duty type that I can both secure to a roof rack, or fling in a pickup bed in all weathers, safe in the knowledge everything inside will remain dry.
However, there are also times when all I want is a lightweight and practical bag for trips such as going to the gym or an overnight flight to a car launch, and this is exactly where the Berghaus Carryall Mule 50 comes into its own. With the ability to hold up to 50 litres, space is not a problem for this duffel bag which means I don’t have to think too hard about what to take and what to leave behind, especially during winter months, when a thick jumper and coat is called for.
Of course being a Berghaus duffle, decent sized stitching comes as standard and it feels like it will handle pretty much anything. Not only that, but an oversized zip and two hefty zip pulls, with large plastic toggles that can be secured together using a small padlock, make sure all your belongings are kept safe.
When it comes to carrying, the Mule has two normal carry handles on the top and two full width grab-handles at either end - these are ideal for overhead lockers or simply pulling out of your 4x4. You also get a padded and removal shoulder strap to spread the load that makes carrying longer distance carrying comfier and easier.
As well as the main compartment the Mule also has a large zipped front pocket with a key clip inside, handy for easy-to-grab incidentals such as a books or newspaper.
Not only is it created using hardwearing fabric, but the fixtures like zips and buckles look like they’ve been forged from the toughest of metals.Weighing just 528g, the Mule also packs away into a zipped pocket for lightweight compact storage.
