Arcane Works launched for custom INEOS 4x4s

INEOS Automotive is shaking things up with a new service called Arcane Works. This service offers limited editions of their award-winning Grenadier station wagon, which customers can then personalise even further with custom details and materials.

Arcane Works keeps the Grenadier’s top-notch off-road capabilities while adding modern, smooth on-road driving. Each limited edition will have its own unique features, new technologies, and a special name. These vehicles are engineered in Germany, built in France at a facility INEOS Automotive bought from Mercedes-Benz in 2021, and then hand-finished. Customers get to collaborate with expert craftsmen to choose from a wide range of finishes and color options to create their own unique 4X4.

This custom service uses the versatile and robust body-on-frame Grenadier platform and offers two reliable straight-six, 3.0-litre BMW engines: the B57 diesel and B58 petrol. These engines have been praised for their refined performance, consistently making it to the top ten of the world’s best engine lists since 2016. Arcane Works will also serve as a testing ground for new technologies and systems for INEOS vehicles, including upgraded engine modifications, new chassis systems, and various innovative materials and features.

The first Arcane Works limited edition vehicle is set to debut in July 2024 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

“Arcane Works is intended to create a truly individual 4X4, hand finished with exclusive materials and personalised touches by specially curated craftsmen. We know this is something our customers have been looking for and working in small batches means we can give them a genuinely custom-made experience. That’s why we chose the name Arcane, as the vehicles will be so unique as to be rarely spotted in the wild.”
