Dacia adds extra safety features for free
Dacia is elevating the safety and convenience standards of its models without any extra charge to the customer.
With the implementation of the new European Global Safety Regulation 2 (GSR2) legislation, which mandates a set of safety features for all new cars, including measures to enhance road safety for pedestrians and cyclists, Dacia is taking proactive steps. Traditionally, integrating such advanced safety features into vehicles tends to escalate their price, especially in the affordable car segment. However, Dacia UK has opted to ensure that its Sandero, Sandero Stepway, and Jogger models comply with GSR2 standards without altering their price tags.
The trio of models, starting from the entry-level Essential trim, now come equipped with a range of intelligent safety features as standard. These include intelligent speed assist, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), driver drowsiness and attention warning, rear parking sensors, and automatic headlights.
Moreover, users can personalise the settings of certain Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features and conveniently restore their preferred configurations with just one click using the new 'My Safety' button each time the car is started.
In addition to the safety upgrades, all Dacia vehicles now feature a Rescue QR Code prominently displayed on the windscreen and rear window. This QR code furnishes firefighters with essential information needed to swiftly respond to accidents and ensure the vehicle's safety.
The enhancement of safety features is accompanied by other specification upgrades across the Dacia range. Notably, the Sandero lineup introduces the well-equipped Journey trim, along with new two-tone Atara Flex wheels and Randia alloy wheels on select versions. USB-C ports are now standard in the front of Sandero models, and Shadow Grey and Cedar Green shades, previously exclusive to Jogger and Extreme trim-equipped cars, are now available for Sandero as well.
The Sandero Stepway, meanwhile, debuts the new Safari Beige finish and receives additional aesthetic upgrades such as two-tone dark Atara Flex wheels and dark Randia alloy wheels shared with the Jogger model. Both adventure-focused models sport a new decal on the front doors featuring the Dacia Link emblem and GPS coordinates of the renowned Romanian Transfagarasan highway.
Moreover, the Jogger HYBRID 140 now boasts the 7-inch instrument panel previously introduced in the All-New Duster, along with a new E-SAVE function enabling energy preservation for later use during a trip, providing drivers with enhanced control over battery usage.
The Sandero starts at £13,795 on-the-road, while the Sandero Stepway and Jogger are priced from £15,295 and £18,295 on-the-road, respectively.
